What Is CBD Hemp Flower?

Since my last post was about my newfound love of smoking hemp, I thought it might be helpful to some of my readers to write about CBD hemp flower and what it is exactly.

In 2018, the Farm Bill passed congress and effectively legalized hemp production and consumption on the federal level. It’s still up to individual states to decide how to handle hemp, but since it’s technically legal nationally, it can be argued in those few states that have outlawed it.

So, now that it’s legalized, what does that mean for consuming hemp? Well, already we know that CBD oil has been on the market for a few years now, but the drawback to these products is that they aren’t as effective as their advertisers say they are. That doesn’t mean CBD is ineffective, it means cbd oil generally sucks as a therapy for pain relief or stress relief.

Hemp oil contains small amounts of CBD, but hemp flower (also called bud) itself contains a heck of a lot more. That’s why smoking either the buds or crushed buds in CBD hemp cigarettes or joints is preferable. Hemp flower contains over 60 different cannabinoids, aka CBD variations.

While the effects of taking CBD oil are usually short lived, it’s the opposite when you smoke hemp. This is because the smoke hits your blood stream through the lungs a lot faster than oil can get processed by the mouth or stomach.

Once you try smoking hemp and realize how effective it is in treating pain and stress relief, you’ll see why so many people have been raving about it over the past few years. It’s not just an advertising ploy, this stuff really does work. And best of all, it’s extremely affordable, plentiful and legal.

Now, as I told you, the hemp flower has over 60 different cannabinoids in it, and that’s actually on the low side of the estimate. Some studies show over 100+ different cannabinoids are contained in the most plentiful hemp flower strains. So what does this mean to the hemp smoker? It means you are taking in a serious amount of cannabinoids when you smoke a hemp cigarette or bud. It’s pretty much the strongest CBD product on the market, far stronger than any oil or edible that might be out there.

In short, I fully believe that hemp flower is going to be more and more common in the near future, considering these facts. And this is great for the marijuana industry and federal legalization, it’s a stepping stone to prove to naysayers that this is not only a harmless plant, but actually can be very helpful to those of us who need a more natural alternative to the lab-made drugs that carry loads of side effects.
